At Balance, we understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally.
Business meetings, project deadlines, car problems, dangerous weather, and illness are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment.
In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients and out of consideration for the therapist’s time, we have in place the following policies:
24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This gives someone else the opportunity to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice, unless the cancellation is based on an emergency situation you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment without informing the therapist beforehand will be considered a “no-show”. Unless an emergency situation caused the no-show and made it impossible to contact your therapist, you will be charged for your missed appointment.
Please plan to arrive five minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive after your scheduled time, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment.
Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for full payment of the planned session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
